Brand New and special guests @ Bottom of the Hill on April 1st. Doors open at 7pm. It's free and all ages. Bottom of the Hill is a pretty small venue, so you'll probably have to stand in line for hours if you wanna get in. Dailymotion vs. YouTube

I finally signed up for a Dailymotion account and it seems pretty dope so far. I can't seem to figure out how to add my fuckin Blogger account to my account in Dailymotion though. It won't accept my Blogger username and password for some reason. Post a comment if you have any tips on linking a Blogger account to a Dailymotion account. I think it has something to do with the old and new Blogger account styles. I tried using both username / password combos, and both didn't work. bleh. Now it won't even let me paste the code into this stupid blog. Back to the GooTube...

At The End Of A Gun

ohhhhhhhhhh I love me some good ol Hot Water Music...

Chuck Ragan (ex-HWM singer/guitarist) has a new live album dropping on May 8th on Side One Dummy. He also just finished recording a full length studio album which will be dropping in the fall on Side One Dummy. What's up with Side One Dummy picking up all the punk scene leftovers from the past decade? Chuck Ragan (he counts cause he was in HWM), MXPX, Piebald, etc. I'm surprised Lifetime's new full length didn't drop on Side One Dummy. I referred to those bands as "punk scene leftovers" because all of those bands once had their shine in the now defunct punk scene. Well, the scene doesn't seem to exist anymore. If it does, it's a whole different ball game now. Technology is definitely what killed the scene as I know it. I'm not complaining. Just sayin. D.I.Y. brah!

Wack Wack Wack Wack Wack

Am I the only one that thinks Blake Lewis is wiggity wiggity wack? I thought his rendition of The Zombies' "Time of the Season" was the epitome of wackness. But for some reason the judges ate that shit up.

Melinda hasn't even hit the stage yet, but I'm gonna say that either baldy or the Evanescence chick is going home tomorrow. Vanilla Blake's time will be up soon, but not yet.

From Kailua To Hollywood

National Product a.k.a NP is finally making some moves in the biz. yadadamean? I remember seeing these frikkas at backyard BBQs in Kaneohe, HI like 10 years ago. NP has a new album coming out this summer and they just released a video for Sean's Song via YouTube. Reminds me a little of Aphasia's "Flatline" which was featured in the blockbuster film War of the Worlds.

No News Is Good News

While every dancing to crappy ass shit is so fun douchebag on the planet is spankin to crappy Girl Talk jams, I sit at home and jam my STD jams breh. Even though Chris Conley's voice gets more haggard with age, I don't think I'll ever get tired of their pop punk goodness. They're playing a show in SF on April 15th @ Slim's. Unfortunately, tickets have already sold out from the awesome virtuous.com, but you can still get tickets from the overpriced crooks at tickets.com.

I Love Punk Rock

I learned a lot about life from growing up on punk rock. I embraced a lot of the ideologies, but I also laughed at a lot of it. Anyways, I still love the music even though I'm getting fuckin old. I found a band called Black President today on myspace. Pretty good 90s esque punk band featuring members of Bad Religion, Unwritten Law, and Goldfinger. I used to really like all 3 of those bands when I was in high school. haha yeah go ahead and laugh at me. I laugh at myself for liking those bands. I actually still really like Bad Religion though. As for the others... ah not really. You can check out some of their songs here:

In Hawaiian Punk Rock news, go check out Akamai Boyz tonight! It will be your last chance and they probably hit the stage soon after I post this. So get your ass out of your computer chair and go now! The show is at Next Door in chinatown.

300 Droooooooop

Just in case you are really oblivious to marketing, I thought I'd remind you that the movie 300 hits theaters this Friday. There's a midnight showing going down tommorow night at the IMAX in San Francisco. Check Fandango for midnight showings going down in your area. This is going to be a perfect opportunity for me to experience the IMAX for the first time. That's if I can get a friggen ticket with a decent seat! I'm sure this movie is going to be selling out theaters for weeks to come.

Hallelujah Hollaback It's Friday!

The best day of the week to screw the workout session and indulge in some beer and food! So get your friends together and get happy with a happy hour sesh. I recommend Sushi Rock's happy hour. It's from 3:30-6:30 at all locations in SF. 50% off all drinks and 25% off all appetizers. Get the Asahi Black if you're looking for an instant smile. It's only a buck seventy five during happy hour!

It's the RETURN

I'm going to try and post at least one blog a day on this thing. We'll see how it goes. To kick things off...

There was a 4.2 earthquake about an hour ago that shook my bed for a quick minute while I got my weekly fix of Survivor. Shit went down in the East Bay. More info here.
